All xovers and output of inversions are refered on figure: "Report plot for
adjustments"
Real diff (Green dots) are the differences taken directly from xover routines.
The complete segment of error bar represents the xover standard deviation.
Yellow line stand for the offset calculated for this cruise.
Black stars stand for the offset calculated for the others cruises in the
xovers.
Blue squares stand for the Fitted differences that would be obtained from the
calculated offsets (Yellow line - black stars)
Red dots stand for the Residuals between the 'Real diff'(Green dots) and 'Fitted
diff' (Blue squares)
c suffix in the upper X axis labels stand for Core Cruises
expocode ids in upper X axis stand for NA ids or SO_ids+10000 for avoiding

GEOSECS_ATLANTIC - phosphate
Average of all cross-overs is: 0.998
Inversion analysis suggests an adjustment of: 1.027
According to core cruises 316N19831007, 29HE20020304 and SAVE an adjustment
should be applied.
Additional evidence from the inversion analysis by Steven van Heuven confirms
that an adjustment be necessary.
At the Paris meeting we agreed on an adjustment of phosphate for cruise
GEOSECS_ATLANTIC of: 1.02

GEOSECS_ATLANTIC - nitrate
Average of all cross-overs is: 0.991
Inversion analysis suggests an insignificant adjustment (1.009).
Cross-overs with other cruises, including core cruises, give no evidence for an
adjustment.
I suggest NO adjustment of phosphate for cruise

GEOSECS_ATLANTIC - silicate
Average of all cross-overs is: 1.000
Inversion analysis suggests an adjustment of: 0.961
Cross-overs with core cruises and other reliable cruises do not support the
adjustment suggested by the inversion analysis, also based on the larger
standard deviations.
Therefore, I suggest NO adjustment of silicate for cruise GEOSECS_ATLANTIC
Confirmed at the Paris meeting (18-19 June).

GEOSECS_ATLANTIC - oxygen
Average of all cross-overs is: 1.01
Inversion analysis suggests an adjustment of: 0.990
In the Southern Ocean region cross-overs with core cruises may possibly suggest
less adjustment.
However, additional evidence from the inversion by Steven van Heuven confirms
the suggested adjustment, mainly based on data from the North Atlantic region.
At the Paris meeting we agreed on an adjustment of oxygen for cruise
GEOSECS_ATLANTIC of: 0.99
