GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : Make +3. This cruise is very
clearly about 3 low relative to the excellent 33RO2010, which is parallel (but
5-10 degrees to the East). No localized biased present (as opposed to the
equatorial Atalante cruises from this era). FIGURE

Mean offset with 3 cruises: -10.2 but strongly biased by bad x-over with flagged
cruise.
Inversion suggests +4.0 but this is likely influenced by the flagged cruise.
However, some non-valid x-overs seem to indicate that this cruise is ok

UPDATE
A new inversion analysis has been done (13 Oct. 2008), now with data to which
all suggested adjustments from the first round were applied. This new analysis
suggests a significant adjustment of TCO2 by +5
Although there are very few cross-overs, the one with top core cruise
49NZ20031106 appears to justify a small adjustment.
I therefore suggest the minimum adjustment for TCO2 of +4

GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : Make -6. Good sharp profiles, very
high precision, several xovers of reasonably or good quality. Cruise appears
slightly high against several others, in very high-quality xovers (notable
against 33RO2011. +6). Recommendation of -6 matches earlier assessment by Anton.
I believe this recommendation to now be unambiguous. see document
Atlantic_Alkalinity.pdf (or similarly names). Cruise offsets improve to
near-perfect with this (and the other) recommended adjustments.

At the Paris meeting TA was discussed.
The inversion analysis by Steven van Heuven (with 6 cross-overs) suggests an
adjustment of -10. The analysis by Anton Velo (see other comment) would suggest
-6, albeit based on very few data. We agreed that an adjustment is necessary,
and decided to take the mean of the two analyses above.
An adjustment of -8 is proposed for TA of cruise 35A319950111.

Auto-uploaded comment from GLODAPv2 assessment by Steven van Heuven (src:
GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : Make -6. Good sharp profiles, very
high precision, several xovers of reasonably or good quality. Cruise appears
slightly high against several others, in very high-quality xovers (notable
against 33RO2011. +6). Recommendation of -6 matches earlier assessment by Anton.
I believe this recommendation to now be unambiguous. see document
Atlantic_Alkalinity.pdf (or similarly names). Cruise offsets improve to
near-perfect with this (and the other) recommended adjustments.

clearly about 3 low relative to the excellent 33RO2010, which is parallel (but

35A319950111 - alkalinity
At the Paris meeting TA was discussed.
The inversion analysis by Steven van Heuven (with 6 cross-overs) suggests an
adjustment of -10. The analysis by Anton Velo (see other comment) would suggest
-6, albeit based on very few data. We agreed that an adjustment is necessary,
and decided to take the mean of the two analyses above.
An adjustment of -8 is proposed for TA of cruise 35A319950111.

The xover is with the SAVE cruise, that has and fitted offset of -3 and a

so 35A319950111 cruise should get an adjustment of -6 instead of -9 in
